Do I need a license for my pets?: In Platteville you are required to license your dogs. Cats and other pets do not need a license. To license your dog, bring information showing the expiration date of your dog's most recent rabies vaccination to Town Hall. Dog licenses cost $10 if your pet has been spayed or neutered or $25 if it has not. The Platteville Municipal Code allows up to three dogs at a residence. Kennels require additional licenses. Do I need a license to have a business in Platteville?: Yes, any entity that conducts a business, trade or profession (unless exempt - see 6-1-20(b) of the Platteville Municipal Code for details) within the limits of the Town of Platteville is required to have a license - whether that business is required to collect sales tax or not.
